The ratio of the size of the current pot to the cost of a contemplated call. Usually expressed as the number of dollars in the pot divided by the amount you must call to continue playing. Also known as expected value (EV). A positive EV indicates that your decision will be profitable over time, while a negative EV means you will lose money over time.
