Casino Review

Casino

Casinos are a great way to enjoy the thrill of gambling and the possibility of winning big. They offer a variety of games, top-notch hotels and spas, live entertainment and restaurants. Some casinos specialize in a specific type of gaming while others offer all the different types.

While musical shows, lighted fountains and lavish hotels draw people in, the billions of dollars casinos rake in every year are all due to games of chance. Slot machines, roulette, blackjack, craps, baccarat and more are the foundation of this industry.

The dark side of casino business is explored in Casino, an epic crime drama that lays bare the intricate web of corruption centered in Las Vegas. Despite the fact that there are no real-life heros in this movie, the acting performances by Robert De Niro and Sharon Stone make it a compelling watch. Joe Pesci adds to the tension as mobster Santoro, while his dynamic with De Niro makes for a fascinating contrast of character.

Something about a casino seems to inspire deceit, treachery and avarice. It’s not surprising that Casino, the film, is mired in violence and reeks of greed, although Scorsese tamped down some of the movie’s more hellacious sequences in order to avoid an NC-17 rating.

The people at a casino are a diverse bunch. They’re regulars who strut with confidence expecting to win big, as well as those who are just trying to recoup some of their losses. But they all have one thing in common – they’re having fun!
